It was another great turn out for our last monthly Medal of the season, 72 players entered but surprisingly only 6 players beat their handicaps on a breezy day. The best score came from in-form James Pearson with a fine nett 66, it was a great weekend for James as he also booked a spot in the singles knockout final after disposing of Ian Daines on Sunday. Division two winner was Aaron Cameron who scored a nett 67 in just his third competition.

There was a major subplot on Saturday as everyone knew that there was a big rollover pot available for any member that scored a two. In the end, two's were hard to come by again and it was only Steve Hulse (on the 2nd) and Gary Cashmore (on the 16th) that scored them - this meant they both won the huge amount of £134 each on to their accounts.

Another great story developing is the on-going battle for the Order of Merit. Finn Waterhouse holds on to his one-point lead over Chris Bird but James Pearson has made a big move after his latest good round. James is now five points off the lead, but there are still a total of 6 players within eight points of the leader. There are just two more competitions to decide the final positions and only two more places in the Hartford Masters left to claim.
