2. So if you know that you need to aim right, I want you to check your alignment. When doing playing lessons I notice so many amateur golfers are way out with where they are aiming and where they think they are aiming. Recently I helped one golfer who was 40 yards out with his alignment on the course - no wonder he had problems hitting greens! So when you play the 5th hole (or any hole really) take a moment to put a club down or alignment stick and double check where you are aiming before you hit your shot.

3. Remember that, even though it's a par 3, this hole is a low index so most golfers will get a shot on it, the key is to avoid a big score but if you score a 4 that's certainly not the end of the world and will give you a nett par. My rule for most amateur golfers for this hole would be.... 'if the flag is on the left - aim right, if it's in the middle - aim right and if it's on the right - aim right!!'
