Ladies & Seniors Sections

The ladies have been unlucky with the weather recently and last Thursday condition weren’t good for their Winter Foursomes but to be fair all of our hardy ladies still went out and braved the elements although it was decided a 9 hole competition would be much more preferential to an 18 hole one!

The winning pair were Chris Lever and Lady Captain Sandra Peake with a very respectable score, given the horrendous conditions, of 37.7, second place went to Elspeth Forbes and Rita Milburn on 42.

The seniors seem to be a bit luckier with the weather and on Tuesday they had a reasonable day for their 9 hole Stableford, the winner was Chris Coates on 19 points who claimed his first seniors victory of the year. This was a popular score as Jack Thompson and Bob Griffiths also finished on 19 points but finished in second and third respectively after a card play-off.

This week the seniors play an 18 hole Stableford and no doubt the sun will be out for them again!
