We all love a good trade in deal and we have the return of an old favourite starting on Friday and running throughout July, it's as simple as this - buy a new shirt from our shop and trade in an old golf shirt and we'll give you £10 off the price!
We have some great new summer golf shirts in the shop from Nike, adidas, Under Armour, PING, FootJoy and Glenmuir and with £10 off the price of any of them you can grab a bargain. Having seen the age of some of our members current golf shirts we think many of you could be due a wardrobe upgrade! We'll give you £10 for any old shirt - it doesn't matter if it's got holes in or buttons falling off!
Shirts start from just £24.99 so on the trade in deal that would cost you just £14.99 - what a bargain!
The ladies played a board competition last Thursday as they played for the Midsummer Trophy and luckily the weather lived up to the name as the sun was out, the winner with 38 points was 20 handicapper Ann Broster who's had a great few weeks with two wins and two runners up spots in the last month! The runner up was Christine Paxton on 35 points and third place went to Di Sommerville on 34 points.
Well done Ann - nice to see your name on the board, here she is receiving the trophy from vice-captain Sandra Peake.
It was busy week for the ladies as they also visited Hill Valley on the lady captains away day organised by Audrey Kettle, they had a great day out and the winning pair were Christine Paxton and Alison Worrall.
The ladies Spring Knockout final will be played on Monday between Jean Clare and Sandra Peake - good luck ladies!
The next ladies competition is next Thursday and it's a new one - Kath's Kup (we're assured this is the correct spelling!) starting at 9:24am.
Midweek Medal Review
Left hander Dave Shering has had a good season so far and he won his second competition of the year last Wednesday as he scored a nett 65 in the June Midweek Medal, Dave's handicap has now dropped to 14. 5 handicapper Kieran Underwood recently won the Scratch Trophy and he also continued his good form with a nice nett 67 including a fantastic total of three two's - one of which was an eagle on the par four sixth hole. Neil Dunning took third spot with a nett 69.
At the halfway stage of the Midweek Medals Order of Merit Marc Williams has a healthy 9 point lead over captain Paul Underwood and Dave Shering is a further 4 points back.

It was very quiet here last Tuesday morning as the seniors had their captain's away day at High Legh near Knutsford, captain Geoff Dodd took a large group of seniors out for the day and they had a great time with decent weather, there was also some good golf played none more so than by Pete Dawson who scored 38 points to take the trophy.
Here's a great group photo - and some of them are even smiling!
This Tuesday the seniors played an 18 hole Stableford, the winner was Andy Margeson who has been playing some steady golf recently with a fine score of 43 points and his handicap drops down to 14.
